"This is a book emerged from a slide show in which I kept rearranging and replacing the individual images. I determined the order of the images formally, but also associatively, that is, certain forms wander through a sequence of images and through the different epochs and contexts from which the images come. But I also assign motifs to one another based on their content. A psycho test, consisting of a handful of wooden triangles (which should be arranged by the test person), stands next to the triangular segments of a Gothic vault, a monument by Walter Gropius next to a stage design for "Rheingold", but a picture from a paper craft book can also be next to one of I have a folded book page, although the shapes are not similar. I see the entirety of the pictures as a kaleidoscope, the individual facets are equally important and always find new points of contact. There is no development, no narrative that draws an architectural-historical line, for example. The picture of the kaleidoscope or the dance hits it!"
